What is the Fair?
The Stanislaus County Science & Engineering Fair is a county-wide showcase for student research and engineering. Students in grades 9–12 investigate a question of their own choosing, document their work, and present it to volunteer judges drawn from local industry, healthcare, agriculture and education.
Projects are reviewed by a Scientific Review Committee (SRC) that follows ISEF-aligned safety and ethics rules. Every student receives their judges' completed rubrics, so the fair is feedback first and competition second.
Before you start research
Research may not begin until the SRC has approved your research plan and required forms. Work completed before approval cannot be presented at the fair.

Submit your interest
Tell us who you are, your school, and the kind of project you are thinking about. No account needed.
Step 2
Register & submit a research plan
Create your student portal account, add teammates, and upload your research plan and forms.
Step 3
SRC approval
The Scientific Review Committee reviews your plan. Research may not begin until you are approved.
Step 4
Present at the fair
Bring your work, meet the judges, and get your completed rubrics back with real feedback.
